Collen and Az Request

You have no idea how many times this was requested by people, and I finally got around to it. MAF also requested a ‘Johto Version of Azure’, and Mdmleotaswallghost requested a more recent version of Azure.

After over a month of constant daily pestering, I finally got around to it! XD

I mixed the requests into one here, drawing both Collen and Azure ‘baddass wih their Pikachu’s’, but drawing both of them in there Johto Attire. Its a more recent version too of Azure, then the last image I drew here.

If memory serves me right, Azure is about 15 years old in this picture, and Collen is an unknown age, but believed to be in his early-to-mid twenties.

After the dramatic finale to the Kanto Arc, I believed Azure needed a new look, so when MAF asked me to cameo in her Johto RP, I came up with a new character design for Azure. Unlike his childhood self, Azure is more serious now, more dedicated. He left his happy-go-lucky self behind in his childhood. Having faced more hardships then most kids his age, causing him to be mature for his age. He is still a very loyal person, willing to sacrifice anything for the people he cares about, but more careful and plotting on how he does things. Back in the Kanto Arc, Azure entered a contest being held at the Safari Zone, where he obtained a red ribbon for Team Red, tying his old headband around Pikachu’s neck, and using the red Ribbon from now on.

Collen seems to be very similar to the younger Azure. He is a bright happy-go-lucky young man always with a smile on his face. He tends to jump into things headfirst, similar to how Azure used to. He spent 10 Years being possessed by Segundo, but after Azure defeated him as ‘The Collector’, and freed him from Segundo’s control, he was left with no memory whatsoever, and basically had to relearn everything. Left with absolutely nothing but an old and tired Pikachu, he stayed in Pallet Town, with Ms. Ketchum while recovering. She was the one who gave him his current outfit, though Misty gave him a ‘Souvenir Hat’ from the Cerulean Gym. At first, his lack of memory really bothered him. He didn’t know who he was, if or where he had family, what his name was, nothing. But after awhile, he grew to enjoy his life as ‘Collen’, accepting his new friends and family and slowly forgetting his fear of never finding out who he really was. He helps Gary Oak a lot at the Laboratory, often running errands for him between Pallet and Viridian. He also volunteers a lot at the Pokemon Center in Viridian City, especially with Juene’s ‘Pika Power Center’. After finding out that Johto was in trouble by an unknown Pokemon, he quickly joined Azure as he traveled to help in Johto. Who his real identity is, is still a mystery.
