Because… honestly, I feel sorry for Albedo.

Yes, we know he got greedy to begin with, but we do know, from the start of Omniverse, that indeed, Albedo did work for Azumuth in the beginning, and seeing that there are multiple people ( Albedo and Myraxx after Albedo ), and while we know that Albedo did not create the Omnitrix, I put my money on he helped him build it before Myraxx stepped in. I mean, he knew enough about it to create his own, even if it was inferior ( because he only knew the design from before Myraxx stepped in to help ), but hey… it was his. He BUILT IT.

That’s right. It is spelt out in the dialogue. He built this ‘inferior copy’ himself, to spite Azumuth who was taking all the credit of building the Omnitrix himself ( Myraxx complained about the exact same thing, and said that it was Azumuth’s ego that made her quit. We can be sure that he was the same way with Albedo ).

Anyway, getting off track. Albedo built this ‘Ultrimatrix’, called it a different name then Azumuth’s, and added different features. But because he ‘used Azumuth’s designs’ that made it ‘not his’.

When he tried to sync the Ultrimatrix with the Codon Stream on Primus, to access the transformations, it synced up with Ben’s Omnitrix, and since the Omnitrix’s default is set to Ben’s DNA, the Ultrimatrix automatically copied it’s settings, and changed Azumuth’s DNA to match Ben’s.

So, here is Albedo, now trapped in the body of, what he considers, an inferior human body, without the ability to turn back to his original form for any more then 10-30 minutes. So he does what anyone would do in his situation, he went to find Ben, and try and fix himself, which causes Ben and Albedo to fight, and with the help of Ben’s friends, caused Albedo to loose…

And then Azumuth took Albedo’s Ultrimatrix.

Yes, that’s right.

Even though Albedo built this core, Azumuth still figures it belongs to him, because he was the one who designed it. ( Just figure Azumuth as Apple, and Albedo as Samsung lol )

He then says that because of his ‘arrogant act of rebellion’, he is now going to be punished to spend the rest of his life, trapped in a 15/16 year old body.

Let’s put ourselves in Albedo’s shoes. You were denied credit for the work you put into something, so you tried to recreate it yourself, only for that device to backfire and permanently change your form into say, not only into something you deem inferior to your original form, but also that of an underaged boy.

Even after Albedo reabtained the Ultrimatrix, Ben forcefully took it back, threatening to blow it up, with Albedo if he refused to give Ben the device. So, even though Albedo built it, stole it back from the people who took it from him, he basically gets ‘give it to me, or I will blow you up’. Seeing that Ben already blew the other one up, and activated the detination to blow up this one, Albedo was left with no choice but to give Ben his Ultrimatrix.

Once again, stranding him back on Earth, alone. Not to mention, while it is possible for a 16 year old to get a job, there is no way a 16 year old can get a well paying, full time job. And it is illegal ( at least in Canada ), for a 16 year old to sign a leasing contract on a place to live, without parent consent. So, even if Albedo did manage to lower himself to a job that would hire a teenager ( part time cashier/fast food/other small jobs that would hire a 15/16yo), he would still never find a place to live.

This punishment that Azumuth and Ben left him, would be worse then rotting in a prison. They left him to fend for himself on the streets.

Though, we know that is not what he did. He went and started ‘Ben 10 Live’, as a way to make money in order to build a device to turn himself back to normal, which, as soon as Ben found out there was a live action show about him, that he was not asked about or getting funding from, he immedietly went and shut it down, and ruined Albedo’s experiment… once again stranding him.

Even after they got the nightmare-sucker thing off Albedo’s face, knowing Azumuth, he would either have Albedo locked up again, or sent back to earth… if locked up, we know Albedo would find a way to escape again, though, on Earth, knowing who his ‘friends’ were that took him away, I wonder if he’s living in Undertown right now?

Either way, I feel kind of bad for Albedo
